What happens at Alpha?

A shared MEAL

We start by eating together. It’s a chance to relax, meet some people, and enjoy a meal.

A TALK about faith

Each week we explore a different question about life and the Christian faith through an engaging Alpha video.

Open DISCUSSION

Then we talk about it. You can share what you think, ask whatever questions you have, or simply listen.

There’s no pressure, and no question is off limits.

  • What is Alpha?

Alpha is a relaxed place to explore questions about life, faith, and Jesus. Each gathering includes food, a short video, and time for conversation.

  • Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for anyone who is curious about Christianity or has questions about faith. You don’t need to be a Christian, attend church, or know anything about the Bible.

  • What if I’m not sure what I believe?

That is fantastic! Alpha is designed for people with questions. You’re welcome whether you believe, doubt, disagree, or are simply curious.

  • Do I have to talk?

No. You’re welcome to join the conversation, ask questions, or simply listen. There’s no pressure to share anything you’re not comfortable sharing. But we would love to hear your voice. 🙂

  • Are any questions off limits?

No. Alpha is a place for honest conversation, and questions are encouraged. You don’t have to agree with everyone else in the room.

  • What ages is Alpha for?

Alpha is designed primarily for adults and older teens. Younger teens may also enjoy Alpha if they’re comfortable participating in conversations with adults. If you’re unsure whether Alpha would be a good fit for someone, feel free to reach out and ask.

  • What about my kids?

We want to make it as easy as possible for parents to take part in Alpha, so childcare will be available during each Alpha gathering.

If you’ll be bringing children, just let us know when you register so we can plan accordingly.

  • How much does Alpha cost?

Nothing. Alpha is completely free, including the meal.

  • Do I have to attend every week?

We’d love for you to come as often as you can, since each week builds on the last, but we understand that life happens. Missing a week doesn’t mean you can’t come back.

  • Can I come to the first night before deciding?

Absolutely. Come to the first night, meet some people, see what Alpha is like, and decide from there. There’s no pressure to commit to the whole course.

  • Is Alpha a church service?

No. Alpha is much more like a meal and conversation around a table. There’s no expectation that you know how church works or participate in anything unfamiliar.

  • What if I have dietary restrictions?

Let us know when you register and we’ll do our best to accommodate dietary needs.
